Within the InspireWater project there are three innovative technologies for sustainable water treatment developed and tested. Now the IMCG introduces: MOL Katalysatortechnik GmbH and their catalyst – a tool that speeds up the reaction when one to influence water structures:
From an idea over marketability up to a established product
For the basic research around the MOL®LIK-technology, the MOL Katalysatortechnik GmbH received an award for the project results, which where encouraged within in the Central Innovation Program for small and medium-sized businesses, for their individual project of the year on May 18, 2017, on the occasion of the innovation day small and medium-sized businesses 2017 of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in Berlin.
MDR Saxony-Anhalt today has send a report about the MOL-LIK process and the award at competition Deutschland Land der Ideen (Germany – Land of Ideas) competition

MOL Katalysatortechnik GmbH energetic reuse of cooling water
By installing MOLLIK units from MOL Katalysatortechnik GmbH, the cooling water of the Rostock power plant is cleaned without the use of biocides or energetic radiation to such an extent that it can be used further in the nearby fertilizer plant. The energetic residual heat consumption of the cooling water discharge in the ammonia evaporation leads to an annual saving of 1,700 tons of oil. At the same time, the entry temperature of the water into the Baltic Sea is significantly reduced.
With this concept, MOL Katalysatortechnik GmbH has applied for the prize of the Umweltallianz Sachsen-Anhalt (environmental alliance Saxony-Anhalt) 2016 and has become one of the finalists.
The MOL®LIK process was awarded as the german winner in the category environment 2016 within the competition Deutschland Land der Ideen (Germany – Land of Ideas) competition.
